Super User Gatorbassman Posted July 1, 2008 Super User Posted July 1, 2008 I sent it out to Troutfisher today. I'm sorry it took me a few days. My work schedule prevented me from getting to the post office. But it's on its way. Quote
Troutfisher Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Hey guys, I had a misunderstanding. Flukemaster told me he was sending me the mojo, and I thought he meant the bracelet. I received the lure today and was like, "Where's the bracelet?" Then I realized from member dsaavedra it was different. : I'll get it out and try it out soon! Thanks for sending it, Aaron "TF" Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted July 3, 2008 Super User Posted July 3, 2008 That my friends was a brain fart. Sorry. lol Quote
Troutfisher Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 An update for you guys. I've taken the lure out once and got skunked, but I'm going out on the Kanawha River to use it Thursday, then I'm mailing it out before I leave on vacation Saturday. Quote

Too bad about getting skunked. Good luck on Thursday. Quote
frogtog Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Send it on down to NC so I can show yall some fish. Once I use it there is no telling how much MOJO it will have. ;D Quote
Troutfisher Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Hey guys, A final update. We got hit by a nasty rainstorm Wednesday night, and received over 1 and 1/2 inches of rain within 2-3 hours! Needless to say, I was dealing with some muddy water. I gave it my best shot, nonetheless, but came up empty. I'm sending the lure to Bassnajr tomorrow morning before I leave for vacation, and hopefully he can load it up with luck, unlike me! ;D Thanks for passing it to me anyway! See ya around! -Aaron "TF" Quote
Bassnajr Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 The lure has arrived in "The Biggest little State in the Union" Rhode Island!!!! Troutfisher sent it prior to vacation and today it arrived. I am heading out later on an, with luck, will do my part and move it along to the next BassResource.com'er. Wish me luck!! P.S. This thing is beat up!! I love it!! ;D ajr Quote
Bassnajr Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Well..once I got the presentation down, I caught a couple. (see photos) They were no "lunkers" (perhaps the dink curse continues!!) but the object of this thread is to catch, release, and pass it on..... so that's what I'll do. I went to a place I call "the wall" near my home. It's a place I go to unwind and throw a few lures. It was 1:00 pm, sunny skies, 85 degrees and humid. I picked these two up in about a half an hour. Gotta' love Rapala's!!!! Just for information, this is a floating lure which suspends when "jerked" on retrieve. Very light lure. Well...Who wants it next!! let's keep it moving!!! Alan (bassnajr) Quote
Bassnajr Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Who wants the lure next?? PM me with your address so I can keep this moving!!!! Alan (bassnajr) Quote
Bassnajr Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 The lure will be mailed out today to GitRDoneIke23 in the great State of Texas!!!! My 2 cents........ I would like to see this lure catch a fish in EVERY state in the Union. In this case, size doesn't matter. Take the lure, catch a fish, post your photos, and move the lure along. ALL WE NEED IS ONE FISH IN EACH STATE!!! This would make the national news which would be cool. BassResource.com in the National spotlight!! I like that!! Just my opinion... Peace Alan (bassnajr) Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 That would be cool if Glenn or one of the Mods could get an article in a magazine or something about this lures journey. I'm sure Rapala would love to hear about it. I'm not sure if we covered this or not but I would like to get the lure back at the end of it's journey. I want to put in a shadowbox and hang it on my wall with everyones name who used it. Then each year perhaps send it to Glenn to put it on display at all of the future BassResource outings. Quote

If I omitted anyone, please add your name to the list. That goes for anyone else who wants to join in as well. Good luck. Updated 24 JUL 08. In the interest of keeping this thing moving along, I would like to suggest to everyone that when you receive the lure, go ahead and decide who you plan to send it to next and ask for their mailing info. This will potentially eliminate the day or two of waiting for that info after you are finished with it. Also, anyone on the forum is more than welcome to participate, but please keep in mind the people who have "signed up" for it on the list above when deciding where it goes next. Anyone can be added to the list at any time by simply posting a desire to participate. The list above is in chronological order by post date with members who have already had it being deleted. If anyone on this list has changed their name on the forum, please let me know and I will update the list accordingly. Good luck and keep it fun. Quote

GitRDoneIke23 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Anybody have any tips on how, when, where to fish this lure? I don't use this kind too often and I want to maximize it's potential. Thank's! -Ike Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted July 17, 2008 Super User Posted July 17, 2008 steady retrieve around shallow cover works best for me! Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 18, 2008 Super User Posted July 18, 2008 Bassn_fin@tic PM'd me asking if his name could be added to the list. I told him absolutely but don't know how to ad it. I also noticed LBH has his name on the list. I think he should have to paint his mohawk purple and hot pink on the days he fishes the lure or he can't use it. That is if he still has the doo by then. Thank's! -Ike Throw it out and let it set on top for a few, and then twitch it on top a couple times for a topwater bite and then use it as a jerkbait all the way back to ya. I really jerk it hard and just keep going I will pause every now and then but mostly just keep it moving. It dances around like crazy and will pull bass from a long way. I bought a couple to use after I got it and tried it and just a couple weeks ago at a local lake jerking it they were shooting out of the grass like a shark to hit it. Quote
shorefisher Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Please add me to the list, I'll get a couple upstate NY bass on it. This is such a great idea. Quote
