Finally gottem finished and with exception of the Anacondas, all of the Rage Tail baits now come packaged in hardshell clams and placed inside the bag to guarantee perfect action on every single bait.

Intricate designs in these soft plastics require special handling and this is the only way I could figure out to guarantee that you receive my best effort. These hard clam packs can be found at most all of the major suppliers now and hope you get a chance to ck'em out. Keep the clams as they are reusable and you can place your baits back inside to maintain the integrity of the shape and design.

For those of you who have had a chance to use them, you know what I talking about and hope you like'em. I will always try my best to give you the best action soft plastics possible and appreciate your support and info more than you know.

Oh boy.

We are supposed to put the baits back in their plastic cases?

Like when we took them out to use?

Now you tell me.

OK, will do from now on.

Happy New Year.  ;)

;D You don't have to Sam...usually mine are chewed up so bad that I have to melt the rips back with a lighter to re use'em. You can also place a pack of baits that didn't come like this in a used clam to bring them back to perfect shape. A little sunshine will take care of it...

Happy New Year to you too and try to stay warm in Richmond Va.

In New England, hard shell clams are also known as quahogs. Your product gives a whole new meaning to "stuffed quahogs".

Stuffies as we know 'em around here.

They look delicious. Haven't had Stuffies in years. Haven't found them in stores here in Texas. We used to be able to get them when we lived in California.

Steve, thanks for making sure our baits stay ready for use with these clam shells, it is awesome that you are going above and beyond to improve our baits.

Thanks for the comments....Here are photos of some baits in the clams and inside bags. All uniformly placed and this process eliminates distortion from shipping and handling. Yes it did add manufacturing and production expenses but I think the clams are absolutely necessary.  To me, they look similar only MUCH BETTER....I'm happy now  ;)

Back in Sept. when I was home, the toads came in the clamshell pack.  It really helped out keeping the toads running true.  For officer Burley, they were the same price as the other rage tails that didn't have the clamshell where I bought them.

They are essential to the shads and toads.Every one that I used ran perfect. I finally got to see what the shads are actually supposed to do and how slow they can be worked.

What am I missing here?

I see rage tails in plastic bags.  Where's the clamshell?   :-?

They are in the clam shells, they are just hard to see in the pictures due to the reflection from the flash.

Here is a picture of some of my baits with the clam shells.

Clams are clear. If you look at the pictures closely you can see the square snaps that hold the clams together

Late last Summer I introduced the first clams to get our local manufacturer in the swing of things and work out the kinks before going all out. The additional time etc to place baits in special order inside the clams took a little time but was necessary to get the best outcome.

There are still baits in retailers inventories that aren't clammed so just wanted to give our group here at BR a first headsup to ck for clammed packages to receive excellence in performance.

Also not finished yet.....we are doing several more things to hold tighter standards in every aspect of our soft plastics processes so to Big O, "things are gettin' better".....

Like the idea of the clam shell and if you look really close at the avitar picture of mine there is a Rage Tail sticking out of the mouth of that 6 lb 15 oz Smallmouth I caught last Summer.   :)

Congratulations BARON49, now thats a Smokin Hog Smallie..... A fish like that makes ya shiver just lookin' at it.... and glad you're a Rage Tailer. Got a few new baits coming out in July that are tailor made for Smallie-Maniacs such as yourself, Oh Yeah..... ;)

Honest question...why don't other baits require similar packaging?  Even the intricate Japanese plastic I have comes loose in plastic bags.

You'll love the ragetails. I was skeptical at first but caught nineteen bass in 3 hours last summer all on the shad and toad. You won't be disappointed.

As you have said Officer Burley, many of todays soft plastic baits work just fine in a bag especially if the bait is designed around shape only and the fisherman is required to provide the action (twitches etc.), the bait will be just fine stuffed in a bag.

But if the bait is actually designed to provide it's own unique action when fished, I have found that to protect the integrity of the shape thru clams is  the only way to guarantee that the fisherman receives the best and most consistent action results possible with each and every bait. I sleep better at night knowing that you have my best effort and hope you catch more fish because of it......  ;)
