BassFishingMachine Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Anyone use these weights? If so, how'd they perform for you? I've been looking for a bullet weight that will effectively work out for pegging, and this is something I came across. So, are they my answer to pegging? They won't slide? Seems to me like they might appear to be "unstraight" when rigged up... but maybes its all in my head. Please let me know, thanks. Quote
Shad_Master Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I have used both the weights and the clips with a regular bullet weight - they are certainly an alternative to pegging, but the main advantage is that it keeps your plastic from sliding down the hook shank (either clips or weigts). Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I bought a bunch on clearance from Gander, and love them. Way better than a toothpick, or the screw in weights. They also have them in tungsten. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted December 9, 2008 Super User Posted December 9, 2008 they're good. get 'em. Quote
MichBassMan Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I have not used the weights but I have used the clips. The clips do a good job of keeping your soft plastics from slipping down. Unfortunatly, at least for me, the trade off of baits not slipping is a much lower hook-up rate. For me all the fish I missed was enough reason to quit using them after several outtings. Quote
