All right...I was by myself and could only use one hand on the fish and one on the camera.  Better than laying the fish on the carpet.  When I released him I checked to see that his jaw was closed and he was breathing fine and he had the correct ID and his papers were in order..8-)

Not likely on a 6 or 7.  tell me, how you hold a 7 lb. bass while removing the hook?

I think you might be looking at the pic the wrong way.

I believe he is holding the fish vertically which is no big deal on a fish that size.  At least he isn't jacking the thing up vertically by the jaw.  That's a whole 'nother ballgame...
