Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 28, 2008 Super User Posted December 28, 2008 I went out again this evening for the last hour of daylight. I was using shiners and caught 3. I caught the 2 smallest on my U/L with #4 mono and #6 mono leader. The biggest, about 3 pounds, was caught on my other spinner with #10 mono. Let me know if you guys/gals want bigger fish or different techniques. I was trying to keep the fish somewhat small so that yall don't get too jealous. I'll try and get out tomorrow if it's not too warm. #10 mono. #4 mono Quote

Olebiker Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Guys, don't be tormenting the yankees with pictures of bass and pretty weather. They might want to move down here and the last thing we need is more sandals-with-black-socks-wearing, golf cart driving, early bird special at the cafeteria eatin', pants up to the ribcage wearin' retirees down here. ;D Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 That's great! It was a beautiful day for fishng today. This ought to get the Northern guy's blood boling. We just got another 8" of snow this afternoon. It's dark now, kids are out of school on vacation with new sleds and junk. The neighborhood is lit up in white Xmas lights, main st looks like a postcard. After dinner, the golf courses and local hills will get crowded with kids wrapped in all kinds of winter gear......... sleds, toboggans, and cafeteria trays ready to go as soon as they finish building the ramp at the bottom. Moms with hot chocolate, skating on frozen ponds, fires in the snow to warm up by, building snowmen, snowball fights...........I could go on Right now, I'm sipping a hot chocolate with Rumple Minze and heavy whipped cream, getting ready to head out into the fun myself. My point is, we fish 8-9 months a yr and then have all this stuff too,....when do you guys get to go sledding?? Y'all think we have it bad but I honestly feel for anyone who misses out on days like this. I understand some people need warm weather for health reasons but geez,...if Muddy can handle it..... : Keep on catchin' em boys, I'm goin' sleddin' Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 31, 2008 Author Super User Posted December 31, 2008 That sounds like soooo much fun. I've never seen snow in person. I sure wish I had friends/family in the north I could visit just to see the real winter. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted January 1, 2009 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted January 1, 2009 Yea, Yea, Yea. I shoveled enough of that crap as a kid. I was not always stuck (help, I fallen and I can't get up) in the land of December sun burns. But once I was old enough to get out, I drove 700 miles south for good. Quote
