The weather has been absolutely perfect for the bite to be on so I went out for a little shore fishing this evening.  I decided to use my ultralight with hopes of having some fun.  Catching bass on light gear with #4 mono is a blast.  Actually, to me it's like catching Hawgs with swim baits on #20 mono.

Here's my set up:

6'6 G-Loomis IMX fast action, 4-8 pound line class.

Shimano Sahara 750 spinning reel.

4 pound mono w/ one foot of 6 pound mono leader.

Lures:

2/0 or 3/0 hook

1/16oz bullet weight.

7" black Gulp worm.

Black over chrome rattletrap.

This was the first one I caught using the worm.  I managed to get a nice action shot of the jump.

This one came on a different rod and trap.

Ultra Lights are a lot of fun to fish.

Caught two ladies over six-pounds each on my ultra light setup.

Good report and great pics.  ;)
