Super User fourbizz Posted October 10, 2008 Author Super User Posted October 10, 2008 Yeah, it was pretty rough. I have been feeling pretty under the weather lately. Got 3 hours of sleep, hiked 6 miles. Wind was so strong it took my hardest kicking just to maintain position for most of the day. You would get these 5 minute breaks in the wind that you could actually maneuver in. Couldnt even fly fish unless i just used a nymph/indicator and let it just drift downwind. So I threw a spinning rod for most of the day. 1 fish in 5 hours. Said screw it, went to the bank to get warm, and take a nap. Slept for about 45 minutes. Didnt catch anything for an hour and a half. We decided to call it a day, and just as i was getting to the take out area. I caught a cutty around 17. So we hung around for another hour and caught probably 6 or 7 between us. That helped make the day better. Big fish was a 21" cutt for me. Quote
