Super User .dsaavedra. Posted July 31, 2008 Super User Posted July 31, 2008 i thought this up while i was fishing with my dad in south carolina and i forgot my camera and i said "i better not catch anything big because i dont have a camera". he thought i was crazy for saying that. so then i asked him "would you rather catch a 9lber and not have a camera, or have your camera and not catch a thing?" he said he would rather catch the fish and not get a photo. i would be just devastated to catch a 9lber (or any new PB) and not have a camera with me. so lets hear it, would you rather... daviscw Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Sounds like a no brainer to me. Who doesn't want to catch a fish? Quote

NewScreenNameAdvised Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I'll take the 9 pounder and no camera. It's nice to get the photo and share with friends....but if I didn't have the camera I still have the memory. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted July 31, 2008 Super User Posted July 31, 2008 I would much rather catch a hog. How often do you look at the pictures of fish you catch? Quote

Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 31, 2008 Super User Posted July 31, 2008 I catch 9lber's all the time without a camera. It really isn't a big deal... : Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted July 31, 2008 Super User Posted July 31, 2008 Geez, what a stupid question. : Quote
avid Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Geez, what a stupid question. : Mr. warmth. Hey Mike, what's shakin'? To answer the question, I rarely took pictures of my fish. Then I got on message boards at about the same time camera phones came out. I have yet to catch a nine pounder. The memory of the experience would please me for years. No camera? no problem. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted August 1, 2008 Super User Posted August 1, 2008 Two years ago, when I caught my 9.8# PB walleye, I was so excited and concerned with getting her back in the water healthy, I forgot to take the picture. As has been said, I still have the memory. Falcon Quote
crazy4bass1 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 wow who were the two people who voted no fish and have camera? Id always rather catch a 9 pounder i never photograph any of my fish any way ( dotn ever wana lose it into the water) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted August 1, 2008 Super User Posted August 1, 2008 Geez, what a stupid question. : 10 lbs is when they become "special". Some people catch a lot of big fish all the time. I don't think they care about the picture unless it's with friends or really something. 8-) Quote
rondef Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I would rather catch the hawg and have the memory. Quote

I think i'd feel sick to my stomach if I didn't bring it... Quote
mattm Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 This is easy. It is better to have caught and lost than to have never caught at all. Quote
-HAWK- Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Im surprised the Scale variable wasnt added into the poll equation. How about if you caught the fish with no camera and no scale? The way I see it, as long as I have the weight documented thats good enough for me. Quote

hawghunter1744 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 i do believe that this is a fairly easy question... Quote
JShrock07 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I would be very bummed if I didn't have my camera, but as many others have said... I would much rather have the memory. When I caught my pb 10.2 all I had was an antique camera that I couldn't download the pics onto the computer. But I still have the pic at home with me!!! Quote
electrikal Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I'd leave the camera home everytime if I thought it would make a difference! ;D Quote
