I'm having a Jolly Scot Scottish Style Ale from Appalachian Brewing Company right now. Great fall beer.

And remember- Beer is proof that God loves us.

Props for drinking the PA swill!!!   ;)

I love ABC.  There is one near me with a restaurant attached to it.  Every Thursday, we make our way over there.

They have something called the Mug Club that we all joined about 5 years ago. They keep a personalized mug in the bar for you.  In 5 years time, I have tried all their offerings.

Personal favorites (I dont know how readily available they are away from our immediate area):

Grinnin' Grizzly (November Specialty)

Kipona Fest (August Specialty)

Riverside Red (April Specialty)

Zoigl Star (January Specialty)

666 (2009 winner of their "home brew" contest, has become a small batch production beer)

Year-round favorites are the Susquehanna Stout and Pennypacker Porter

If you get your hands on any of these, you will be pleased.  If you NoVA fellas come up to fish sometime, we can hit up the restaurant.  I can also bring some if we ever get a trip together.  Just let me know.

Well, I tried Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA, and it pretty much sucked.  Has a finish reminiscent of licking an ashtray.

How do you like the Stella?

It's everywhere where I live, but I can't see myself spending that much on beer...

Stella Artois is awesome beer. Dad and I bought a bottle of it in a six-pack variety pack, then next day we went back to store and got a sixer of it. I like it a lot.

Dos Equis makes the cut for my all time favorite. Both the lager and the amber version.

The Mellow Mushroom here in Johnson City has nearly 63 beer choice. They even have a beer club. It just hard to go there for beer and pizza every weekend on a college student's budget. :(

One of the best parts about the area I live in....Total Wine and Spirits.  They have a freakin ridiculous selection of everything.  Cigars, booze, beer, wine, etc etc.  The great part about them is that you can buy single bottles of basically anything in the store if you want to try something out.  I'll stop there once in a while to grab a few individual bottles of different beer to try out.  I've found some that I've loved, some that I've hated, some that are kind of in the middle of the road.  Most of the ones I've really liked are the very small micro brewery type beers.  Thankfully single bottles are fairly inexpensive.

Yep, there's one in Harrisburg. I've been there a few times. Good stuff right there! Speed, you have another tag-a-long when you take Nate to the one near you!  ;D

Well, I'm going tonight after I pick up the new couch.

Grinnin' Grizzly is my absolute favorite.  I will be taking my Growler with me tonight.  Gotta have some good brew while watching the Steelers beat the crap out of the Raiders.

I see what I believe to be a Double Dead Guy bomber on the right hand side in the red bottle, which is one I have been meaning to try. As far as what else I can see, you cannot go wrong with the Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA in there and the Victory Hop Devil is solid as well.

To anyone who hasn't tried a Bear Republic Racer 5, please look for it. It is hands down, the best IPA that I have ever tried. It has the hop punch that many are looking for, yet is unreasonably smooth. What a fantastic brew. I am also partial to the Great Divide Titan IPA, Sweetwater IPA, and the Clipper City Loose Cannon. Try these out and you will not be disappointed. I saw the Arrogant Bast--- was mentioned earlier and that is another good one. Man, I love beer! Any other homebrewers on BR?

In Memphis, we have regulations where it makes it hard(expensive) for the smaller breweries to distribute, but we still have a good selection!  In our store, we can only carry 6% or higher, as technically (to the state on Tennessee anyways) they are considered barley wines!  If anyone is making the Roadtrip and wants to try some good beer, let me know and I will get a list together of what we can get and bring some of the hard to find stuff for some of you guys, especially if the same is reciprocated!

Not usre how far they market, but there is a local micro brew called Roy Pitz.

Ludwig's Revenge and Old Jail are darker and pretty good.

I think of Ludwig's Revenge as a "baby Guiness."

They also make some lighter stuff that is prety good.

Call me boring, but Miller Lite in the bottle is my favorite.  I don't really notice a difference with the vortex bottle thing.  I never had a problem getting it out of the old bottle.

Fishes In Trees stated:

Boulevard Pilsner - Boulevard Brewery - KCMO     This could be the ultimate yard beer.

This is also the official beer of the USS Missouri - the Navy's newest attack submarine.  Makes me

proud every time I swill one.  Some of these will always be in the fridge.

Boulevard Single Wide IPA - Boulevard Brewery - KCMO  There are lots of India Pale

Ales out there - I tried many and this is in the top two or three.

Bob's 47 - Boulevard Brewers - KCMO     I tried a number of "Octorborfest""  beers that hit the market

starting probably in August, this past summer.   Bob's 47 was the best Octorborfest beer that I tried.

Spaten beersi - imported from Munich was a close second.

Boulevard produces exceptional beers, period.  They started in 1989 and now cover 19 states in the midwest.  Some bars on the East and West coasts that seek out unique and tasty beers also serve some of their products.

http://www.boulevard.com/brewery/our-story/

My favorite Boulevard beers are the following.

Boulevard Pale Ale

Boulevard Amber Ale

Boulevard Pilsner

Boulevard Wheat

Boulevard Bob's 47 Oktoberfest

They make a bunch of limited distribution craft beers as well.
