RAINCLOUD36 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 > > > My daughter was flying from Houston to N.Y. with our 2 1/2 year old grandson. For some reason the airlines had them sitting in different areas but told her to have someone change seats with her. The first person she approached said" I don't like the middle seat" and the second refused because "I'm comfortable here." Is it me or did she run into 2 complete buttheads? Quote
Super User grimlin Posted July 25, 2009 Super User Posted July 25, 2009 People are stubborn and only care about themselves. It's been like this for years. :-? That same thing happened to me once when i was a little guy too.My mom was so mad the airline didn't put us together. Then tried to asked the guy next to her to switch spots so i could sit with her and he said "No".So did the lady who i had to sit next to.....I flew 6 hours by myself...I was actually a good boy...i wish i would have caused a ruckus with the lady next to me if i knew what was happening.I was only 7 at the time. My mom told me the story later on when i grew up. Quote
Koop Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 The airlines split up seating for my wife and I a few times... all but once everyone was nice enough to swap seats. I have been alone flying on business and swapped seats for people every time I've been asked. It just comes down to some people in life are miserable and "misery loves company" I believe is how the saying goes. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 26, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 26, 2009 Coming home from ICAST, there were 2 little girls - sisters - who were sitting in different isles. They asked the flight attendant if they could sit together. Wthin minutes, the flight attendant had two people ready to swap seats with them. Sorry it didn't work out the same for your daughter. Luck of the draw I guess. Quote
