BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 22, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 22, 2008 It's been snowing here for 12 hours straight, and expected to continue for another 10. This, after enduring a blizzard last night. :-/ The airport is almost out of deicer, and gas stations are experiencing shortages. This, due to the inability of supply trucks to travel in the winter conditions. 4 airlines suspended service, as did amtrack. The taxis shut down at 8pm. What buses are running, are an 1-2 hrs late. It's times like these that make it really difficult for me to complain when it's 100 degrees outside. Quote

Super User Muddy Posted December 22, 2008 Super User Posted December 22, 2008 Hey Glenn: stay safe! Do you have a generator for your place? Well I left the $&@#* Mountains of PA to spend a few holiday weeks at Elaines back home in Brooklyn >>>>16 degrees presently and single digits for tonight, the cold weather is following me. :-[ Quote
atx_newbie Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 you guys got it made :-? See, you say that now, but you can enjoy your summers, while in Texas from April to October we have to plan our days around the availability of air conditioning. I have always thought that any outdoor activity is less enjoyable in extreme heat than extreme cold. You can always put on an extra layer, but most places won't let you fish naked! Quote
