Super User burleytog Posted December 5, 2008 Super User Posted December 5, 2008 We've all done it. I remember writing a 20 page paper in HS the night before it was due. I finished it at 4:30AM, slept for two hours, then went to school. Whine away little girls... Did you walk to school uphill both ways too? No, but I did drive to school uphill both ways. Quote

Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted December 5, 2008 Super User Posted December 5, 2008 Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! This feels so good. I graduated in May so this is my first semester not having to deal with finals. I actually thought about "you guys" today at work thinking how bad it would suck to be worrying about finals right now. Gross!!!!!! So in your honor I drank a few brews til closing time with a few buddies tonight. My biggest challenge tomorrow is getting to work by 8 am. After that .... no worries. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! I can honestly say this is the first time I really appreciate being through with it. Finals week SUCKS!!!!!!!!! Quote
drmnbig Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I'm fryed on this myself. I never dreamed that at 31y/o I'd be worrrying about finals in college but here I am. I finished my history exam just yesterday and starting Monday I've got exams in Corrections, Criminology and Juvenile Justice. On top of that I go in for surgery next Wed. for a hernia. Lovely. : Quote
Daniel A. Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to ALL school work. Research papers, presentations, exams...I hate them all equally. After each near miss, I reassure myself that I'll start working a little sooner...but then, I realize how much of my time that takes. ;D Quote

Lovely. : d**n sorry to hear that. Rough week ahead, you'll pull through. Today I went t make up a test I missed when I was out of commission and of course the professor never showed up, wasted 45 minutes waiting. > Now working on my last final paper. Here is a good laugh for you guys. Last night around 2:30am I went upstairs to make some coffee and didnt turn any lights on b/c I didnt want to wake the folks (live in a big wide open ranch). While on the way to the kitchen (in the dark), I trip over our bulldog, and go face first into a wall knocking myself out for a couple minutes. I was awakened to the dog licking me and my step-dad ranting and laughing at the same time telling me what dumb-a$$ I am. Still have a lump above the left eye. But after the next week, it's off to NYC with the girl for the weekend for a little down time. Can't wait for it to be over. Quote

bmadd Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Root Beer- I'm in my third year at UT Martin. I really like it a lot. It's only about a 45 minute drive from home and it's not a big campus. Most of my classes are pretty small and tuition isn't real high (yet). My finals start Monday night with Managerial Accounting from 5:15 to 7:15 Wednesday night I have Microeconomics from 5:15 to 7:15 Thursday afternoon I have Managerial Finance from 3 to 5 Friday morning at 7:45 I have Computer Science and at 10 I have Art History: Paleolithic to Medieval. Hating this. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted December 6, 2008 Super User Posted December 6, 2008 A word from your friendly neighborhood professor, the guy with the red pen and grade roster. If you think it's tough having to do all the work, think what it's like having wade through all that stuff, all turned in at the last minute, of course. At the end of the semester, all sympathy is gone, believe me. Quote
bmadd Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Ghoti-no doubt it's hard on you guys. You've been where we are though and know the feeling though I'm sure. Quote
