srv1990 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 What a difference a coach makes. I wonder if they were sandbagging to get that coach fired? According to some of the local media "insiders", word was that Linehan was becoming very destructive to the organization. He benched Bulger against Saunders wishes and cut their top corner (Brown) against Haslett's wishes. He didn't even tell Brown, who heard it from his agent. Ridiculous! He also ostracized the veterans. He didn't know how to lead a football team and had zero respect from the players and many of the coaches. Sure, the players deserve some of the blame, obviously, for starting 0-4, but Linehan was running the organization into the ground, one psychotic move at a time. Football is such a mental game, and Linehan was in way over his head. Quote
