Bassboy15 Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Hey everybody! They came to school the other day and talked to us about ordering our class ring, so we all went online and designed a few...I have it down to 2, Just seeing what you guys think... Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted September 6, 2008 Super User Posted September 6, 2008 i like the sides of the bottom one but i like the stone of the top one. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted September 6, 2008 Super User Posted September 6, 2008 That's some serious *bling* right there! My senior ring was an el cheapo. ;D Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted September 6, 2008 Super User Posted September 6, 2008 My dad asked me what kind of class ring i wanted. I told him a Beretta 390 Gold would be fine. We split the cost. Best class ring you could ask for. Quote
fivesixone Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 i like the sides of the bottom one but i like the stone of the top one. I like the opposite, stone or whatever from the bottom one and the sides from the top, heh. I don't know why I even bought mine though, I barely ever even look at the thing. Quote
mattm Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Go Fourbizz's route. You will look like a tool once you hit college wearing it anyways. Never missed not having one. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 6, 2008 Super User Posted September 6, 2008 Go Fourbizz's route. You will look like a tool once you hit college wearing it anyways. Never missed not having one. x2 Quote
Bassboy15 Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Ok, with everyone talking bout not wearing them past highschool, I went the cheaper route, this one is 216. Quote
Bass XL Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Mine has a bass on the side too. It turned out great, but I never where it. Class rings were 'cool' for about a week, then everyone stopped wearing them (myself included). I only see a few girls wearing theirs. Quote
vicdotcom Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I also never wore mine past high school. The only good thing is that I didnt loose any money out of it. By the time I sold it for gold scrap, the price of gold went up so much, I actually made a profit lol Purchased some fishing gear. But not much chance of that happening nowadays since gold is so high already. I wore it probably 15-20 times. Quote
JShrock07 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Mine has a bass on the side too. It turned out great, but I never where it. Super User fishinfiend Posted September 7, 2008 Super User Posted September 7, 2008 Go Fourbizz's route. You will look like a tool once you hit college wearing it anyways. Never missed not having one. x2 x3..... Wait to get a class ring from college. Quote
bmadd Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I opted on not getting one myself. I had a football state championship ring that just collected dust already so I knew I wouldn't wear a class ring. I haven't seen a class ring since the day they came in at our school haha...between 3-4 years ago Quote
DEISWERTH Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 My Dad didn't want me to get one, said I wouldn't wear it (how right he was!) My Mom talked him into it. The only real reason I wanted it was to give to my girlfriend to wear at the time and the next one and next one and..... Now it has been sitting in my dresser for about 24 years! Been thinking about cashing it in for the gold lately! Quote
Super User Muddy Posted September 7, 2008 Super User Posted September 7, 2008 I didn't get a high school ring, I got married right out of high school so I got a different kind of jewelry Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted September 7, 2008 Super User Posted September 7, 2008 Just like everyone else has said, when you buy the ring, you wear it for a couple of weeks or give it to your girl friend. Either way it is a huge waste of money. I graduated from high school in 1965. I still have that ring to this day. Every now and then I take it out of my shoebox, along with the Marksmanship badge I earned as a Boy Scout - and I remember how it was in those long ago days. BTW, when I graduated from college, buying a Senior ring never entered my mind. Quote
Top Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I am going thru the same deal right now with my daughter.. hers is going to run 285 and I know her.. she will lose it LOL AL Quote
moby bass Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Only wore mine in H.S. Save your money! Quote
Mobydick Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 They're not worth it. My buddy never wore his, and he just sold it a few weeks ago to pay for car insurance, and sadly, it covered it all, a $685 ring. Quote
daviscw Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I didn't buy a ring or letter jacket, and I don't regret it at all. Quote
Pigsticker Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 High school rings??? At least a few guys were smart enough not to buy them. The only rings that should ever be bought are college rings from a military school, west point, citadel, VMI etc. etc. I know close to 100% of juniors from VMI get their class rings, they have a big dance to celebrate it, real big deal for military schools. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I don't know what you guys are talking about. I graduated 23 years ago but I still like to put on my class ring and letter jacket and go out and toss around the football with uncle Rico. Quote
