Why would he be P'ed. He is about to mount his girlfriend. That foot sticking out on the left doesn't belong to him.

No doubt, our lake has some man hole cover sized snappers in it and we were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time a few yrs ago when they were going at it.  At first, we thought a big turtle had a duck or a lrg bird so we started heading to the back of the cove where they were.  When we saw that it was 2 snappers, we backed off and let them go about their business.

This was no "quiet" romantic encounter, let me tell you,...the shells made a "crunching" sound, lots of thrashing and stuff.  Considering how old a turtle that big is, it's a very cool experience to witness something like that.  I think those prehistoric things are amazing creatures.  They make good spotters too,lol, every time a biggun pops his head up, we move closer to where he was and sure enough,.....fish on!
