Woo-Hoo!

Man, I haven't been this excited about a new television series in decades.

Terminator, T-2 & 3 are my favorite movie series.

I guess The Terminator wasn't kidding, "I'll be baaack!"

Have seen the trailers for the series and looking forward to it ;). Got high hopes but you know what the small screen does with good ideas sometimes :'(...

The Terminator saga is a true masterpiece of the film arts just like the Star Wars saga, the Alien saga ( and I don 't mean them illegal ones ) and the Predator saga.

Just ask me how many times I 've watched each film.  :D

Yep, this show has potential. Getting through the "introduction" for those that were not "Terminator" fans might have been a little slow and confusing, but now that's out of the way and this show can rock! I'm already looking forward to tonight's episode.

Oh! And the "good" terminator, woo-hoo!, she is soooooo HOT!

I enjoyed the first episode last night, and I hope this show continues to build into a good story line.   The only problem I can potentially see with this show is that if you aren't pretty familiar with the movies you could get confused very quickly.  There were a lot of references and plot points last night that you absolutely would not understand if you haven't seen the movies recently.

Luckily for me I was feeling under the weather this weekend so I stayed home and around the football games I was able to watch the first and second terminator movies to refresh myself.   Got my wife interested in the show also because she had never watched any of the movies until this weekend.

Anyone notice chickie at the end of the show in that mini-skirt?

Nope, didn't think so... ::)

Sarah Connor, "How was your day?"

John, "Okay. I wasn't killed and she didn't kill anyone".

Okay, I have to throw this out there.  Are we now pretending that T3 never happened?  In T3(and that movie even screwed up the timeline a lot)it shows taht  Sarah Conner died in 1997 due to lukemia.  However the tv show starts in 1999, and last night the good terminator tells her she dies in 2005.  So she dies twice?

I know it's a tv show, and so far a pretty darn good one, but can it at least try to follow the time line a little?   I'm not a great stickler for details in movies/shows, because I know they are entertainment, but this show is catering to Terminator fans, and they are all going to know the important details to the movies.

Hmm...

Good point.

Sarah was told they "jumped" because she died of cancer, good tie-in, but I missed the timeline.

Sarah asks why they had to jump since she missed out on 7 years that she could have used to prepare herself and John for the futures events, and the good T tells her that she wouldn't have had that much time because she died in 2005.  She doesn't say of what.

One part I really liked is when the good Term.  said she takes orders from future John, and not current John, and Sarah says "aren't they the same person", and the T answers "No, not completely."   Good forshadowing to events in the future.  This show is bringing out my inner geek, and I like it.

I think the good Terminator told Sarah she died of cancer.

Also, when Sarah asked chickie "Don't you have to follow orders from me" or something along that line, I thought good T said, "Not yet." So the robot does some things at this point, like shooting the old guy, that protects John and mom, whether they agree or not. That's a twist.

I know one never should compare the TV show to the movie that spawned it, but Linda Hamilton is the only Sarah Conner for avid...........sigh.

Yeah, that's a hot look, for sure!

Linda Hamilton spent some time getting pumped for T-2 and it shows.

Tough as nails with a sexy flare.

8-)
