PaparockArk Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 Try the link now as I think I fixed the problem. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted March 6, 2008 Super User Posted March 6, 2008 They are definitely cool little baits. I haven't caught any big ones on them yet. My girl got a chunky 3lber on one though. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted March 6, 2008 Super User Posted March 6, 2008 *** has them. No, they have the minnow. Quote
rboat Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I do not know about the shad. The minnow does not come with a hook. How do you rig them? What kind of hook , size, weight or jig head is the best? Thanx. I have some of the minnows, but I have not tried them yet. Rigging problems. Quote
PaparockArk Posted March 8, 2008 Author Posted March 8, 2008 I know the Mattlures Shad is for sale at Turners Outdoorsman in California. I have emailed Matt at the Mattlures site about the Shad's availability but have not heard back yet. Here on Bull Shaols, shad are the main forage fish of the bass so I am really looking forward to trying some! Quote
PaparockArk Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 I received a PM from Matt that he has his Shad models on his website and just placed my order. I am looking forward to fishing these under the shad schools here on Bull Shoals. The treble under the belly is especially a nice touch and the overall look is great! http://www.mattlures.com/mattshad.htm Threadfin Shad Gizzard Shad American Shad Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted March 23, 2008 Super User Posted March 23, 2008 P_rock, you be sure to tell us how they work in the Twin Lakes area. I've been wanting to buy a few for Norfork. I have a couple of Mattlure bluegills and I love them. Quote
IL_Bassman Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Anyone know how heavy these are? I couldn't find it on the website. Quote
Mattlures Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I have 2 weights on the 4.5in shad. The light fall weighs 1 1/4 ounces and the heavy fall weighs 1 1/2 ounces. the little 2.5 in baits only weigh 1/4 ounce Quote
