They are definitely cool little baits. I haven't caught any big ones on them yet. My girl got a chunky 3lber on one though.

I do not know about the shad.

The minnow does not come with a hook. How do you rig them? What kind of hook , size, weight or jig head is the best? Thanx. I have some of the minnows, but I have not tried them yet.

Rigging problems.

I know the Mattlures Shad is for sale at Turners Outdoorsman in California. I have emailed Matt at the Mattlures site about the Shad's availability but have not heard back yet.

Here on Bull Shaols, shad are the main forage fish of the bass so I am really looking forward to trying some!

P_rock, you be sure to tell us how they work in the Twin Lakes area.  I've been wanting to buy a few for Norfork.  I have a couple of Mattlure bluegills and I love them.

I have 2 weights on the 4.5in shad. The light fall weighs 1 1/4 ounces and the heavy fall weighs 1 1/2 ounces. the little 2.5 in baits only weigh 1/4 ounce

You can be sure as soon as I get them they will be in the water and I will post back. :(
