pudmunk Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I'd love to go Masshole here gotta get a license Need a seat Mike Quote
badcrawdad Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Oh yaaaaaa! I'm 99% sure I'll be there. Should also have a buddy with me. Quote
badcrawdad Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 .I spoke to someone today that claimed to pull BIG bass out of Powder Mill Pond. I'm a little wary of going there again as it's so big and shallow it's tough to fish. Whats up Jay my 4+lber doesn't count as big? I'm pretty sure I found a couple of pics of a 6 and 8 lber from a tourney there when I was looking for info before last years get together. Quote
jaystraw Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 4 is Big, but not BIG. That was a sweet fish though. Hope you make it! Quote
bwillis Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 My wife's uncle my be able to attend, and he has a boat, so I may not need a seat. I will update you guys when I find out if he'll be able to make it. Quote

Nashua Nev Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Who can give me an idea of directions? My GPS doesnt recognize stumpfield Quote
fmoore Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 It's the body of water that Rt 9 crosses just west of the Rt 9/I 89 intersection in Hopkinton. Quote
nhbassin Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Try typing in Stumpfield Road, Contoocook NH 03229 in your GPS Quote
jaystraw Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Yeah, it's real easy to find. Exit 5 off of Route 89 North. First right after you cross the bridge. Follow signs for the bat launch. Quote
NH Fisher Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I hope to make it. I should know this week if I can. If I can i could use a seat if ones open but if not I'll car top the 10ft jon boat and trolling motor. A buddy calls it The Death Trap. I've heard the best fishing is just to the left of the launch so maybe a jon boat would work out well there. Quote
KlubbaT Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Wow, haven't been to this site since last fall. I like the new look. I would be very interested in joining this event. The fact that it is on a Saturday is great for me. I don't own a boat though. Any open seats? Jay Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted April 6, 2011 Super User Posted April 6, 2011 I'm in southern NH and the 2 ponds local to me, Cobbetts and Canobie, still have at least half covered with ice. Quote
NHBassMaster2 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I will be there with my bro-in-law in my tin boat. Can't wait! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 10, 2011 Super User Posted April 10, 2011 I'm actually debating going with my jon, as well. Not sure yet though. The bass boat is so much easier to pitch out of, even if I never fire up the big motor. Quote
jaystraw Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 Yeah, I'm having the same dilemma. I'm alsio wondering if we should change the location to somewhere that will have been unfrozen longer. I just drove by last Monday and it was completely covered with ice. thoughts anyone? I know a couple seacoast lakes that have been ice free for a couple weeks. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 10, 2011 Super User Posted April 10, 2011 Interesting thought, Jay, especially for me, since I work in the seacoast region (Newington). Quote
NHfroggin Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Hey guys i think i will be able to make it the 23rd. I will try to have my boat ready for then, if not i may need a seat. Jay what lakes were you thinking of near the seacoast? -matt- Quote
jaystraw Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 OK guys, sorry for the slacking. Here is the current list: List so far: Boaters w/ seat: TripleD, fmoore, Shane (not there until 2ish), NHfroggin(?) Boats w/o seat: Jay anmd Matt, wagn, nhbassin w/clr9933, badcrwdad and buddy, NHbassmaster2(?) non-boaters needing seats: bwillis(?), nixstyx(?), pudmunk(?), NH fisher, Klubba T If there is a (?) it means I'm not sure (or you're not sure) about your boat/seat status. Once you know if you are coming, please either send me a PM or just post your status. It's looking like I may have an open seat in the Nitro, but I'm not positive yet. I was thinking about Great Pond in Kingston. It's supposed to be great. Anyone fished it? Quote
NHfroggin Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I fish great pond alot its about 5 minutes from my house..I've pulled some decent fish from there 4-5lbs fishing everything from topwater frogs to deep cranks..usually I get good numbers also. I have fished it from a canoe and a jon boat. It can get busy as there is only one launch maybe 4-5 trailers and I am unsure about parking on the road..i can contact kingstons finest to make sure we can park along the road. I may be taking the boat there friday to make sure everything works good. -matt- Quote
KlubbaT Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I've fished Kingston Lake from shore plenty of times (close to where I live). Have had decent luck there. Gets pretty busy there when weather warms up. Quote
jaystraw Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 this sounds promising. Hey Matt, I may also be at Great Pond on friday with my friend Matty. We should link up if we are there at the same time. I'll probably be there around 8:00am or so. Quote
