Hey masssilversrt4 me and my buddy have been fishing Milford pond for about 8 years. Maybe you've seen us in 10 foot red john boat with white seats. Not so much this year but my biggest fish to date was there. I would say he was all of five pounds but that was before we had a scale. Either way he was huge!!! Seems awfuly slimey there this year. You ever fish bad luck pond?? Great spot the avarage fish seems bigger than Milford. Lower Milford can be pretty good lots of pickrel misson to get in though.Whens the next tourney???

Russ, We are not talking about ponds in Milford. There is a Milford Pond in Swansea.. If you ever want to check it out let me know.. 3 biggest fish of the year have come out of there.. Thinking of heading over there today... Throw some swimbaits for a big one..

Whent to bad luck pond on saturday, fished from 9:30 to 5:00.Nothing to exciting but we didn't get skunked at least.Between the two of us we caught 6 bass and two average size pickrel.Five of the bass ranged from 1lb 8 oz to 2 lbs the biggin of the day was 2lb 8oz.They were mostly caught on shinners I think one was one a shallow crank bait. The wind was brutal spent most of the day trying to avoid it..... better than a day at work!!!!

whereabouts,what time?

Russ I went out for 3 hours today at milford thinking the weeds had died. off. Not even a nibble.. Fish where shallow but spooky as all hell.. Throw even a worm and the would just scatter.. this was in 1 FOW...

Guy that was with me got a 3lber about 5 min after we got there.. went into a cove and got this one.. My first MS slammer fish. She was about 3lbs. After this no other bites the rest of the day.. was quite weird..

No kidding I didn't know they closed cook pond. If you read the mass dept of fish and game, they say it was one of the most fertile ponds in the state at one time. What a shame!!! I always hope to snag a tigger muskie while im there. Anyone ever see the tigger muskie head at main bait? That was pulled out of cook.

One from Cooks in the fridged March weather of 2007,just after ice out. I usually throw A black jig w/an ultra blue zoom junk. There used to be Tiger Musky in there as well, not to sure anymore, so watch out, those Musky just love to swim around and show off their new $30 swimbait lip rings. ;D Hooked into one about 8 lbs on a Zarra Spook gonig back a decade or so. Got him to the side of the boat, he jumps, lands in the boat on the bench seat, spook falls out, he flips once and over the other side into the depths he went, this all lasted about 5 seconds :'( ;D

Used to love cooks years ago,but then the fuzz made all of Tin's friends leave and it wasn't quite as exciting anymore ;D

What is that first pic Paul?? I like it there.. It's still shady but otherwise worth it.. smallies make it worth the while as well.. I heard they are going to put a gate in and clean it up as well.

Someone dumped 1000's of fish fillets in there last year.

The fuzz made tin's freinds leave?? What was that all about?

That's one of those ponds that takes all day to fish to whole thing. Like I was saying before if I don't I always wonder.
