HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Once my truck's electrical issues are straighted out, I want to put together a 5 boat (car topper ony) trip to pond X. So you know ahead of time, you will be putting in and crossing one small pond first and then porting your boats over a sand dune(50') in order to get into Pond X. Date coming soon! Quote
masssilversrt4 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 so a 10' or 12' jon boat would work.. I'm in just let me know the date.. Quote

HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 everyone knows about it. I'm in if the date is right, how bout the 25th... $20 a boat Team T with a 2 fish limit (must have 1 per angler). Me and the crotch cricket kid were there a few days back, we were the only boat all day. Though, this was the day the hurricane passed by. This thread was actually me thinking out loud and didn't plan on bringing anyone who didn't already know about it. I intro'd a few new people to it this year, knowing they would keep it clean and treat it w/respect. Also, I'm now sorry I posted all the smallies from the spring. Didn't know it was a secret until it was to late :'( If the CROTCH CRICKET KID is available, we're on for the 25th. Lets keep this small (5 boats) as attempted in the start of this thread. Took me ten years to find it and don't want to spend the next ten years wishing I didn't $20 a boat Team T with a 2 fish limit (must have 1 per angler). GREAT IDEA! Quote
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 why is this funny? Not sure about that? Maybe becuase I was trying to blow it off. Quote
Matt 825 Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 People have know about this pond for years, but few ever fished it. I have fished it as far back as 13 years ago and now it is a shadow of its former self. The problem now with this pond is that since the word has gotten out the last 2 years ( mainly this year though), I have seen days in there where I counted 12 boats. I saw an older guy take 5 good size smallies home, and his buddy had 3. Not to mention all the trash that has been left on the beach. I have not fished this pond more than 3 times this summer due to the pressure. Guys that know about it now, please try to keep it as quiet as possible. We dont need any more meat fisherman going there and taking the Bass in this pond. And if you see someone littering or taking fish, give them hell. Quote

I can't for the life of me understand how anyone can be so neglectful with any reasource, never mind one like this! Quote
