Pieman Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 I got 2 big ones in my secret spot. 4lb (est) and this one (I figure it for 6) they were biting and jumping like crazy. I had better pics on my cellphone but my buddy taking the pics forgot to save em. Guess I'm hitting it again tom morn. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 18, 2008 Super User Posted October 18, 2008 Nice bass. Get a scale , you're figuring days will be over. Quote
Pieman Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 I had one but the little man dropped it into the water last weekend. I did measure it at 22 inches. Quote
Super User Tin Posted October 18, 2008 Super User Posted October 18, 2008 If it was 22", good chance it was around 4.5-5. Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Had a blast standing in the surf up to my @!%. Hit SoCo for 4 hours, no fish anywhere. Had a great time, heading back out tomorrow. Quote

Sewer Trout are not my cup of tea.... Quote
CRFisher Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Hit Lake Chauncy yesterday afternoon for the first time. Not bad, two dinks and a 3lber in the first 15 minutes with a #4 Orange Black Fury. Nothing in 2+ hours after that. Everything I've caught in the last two weekends have been on inline spinners. All other baits are being ignored. Quote
Cousin Vinny Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 I tried an area where the Saugatuck River becomes a lake, (supposedly known for bass and trout) and the Saugatuck resevor. Got nothing at both. On the bright side I bought a small fiberglass boat that will hopefully do well next season. Its a Craftsman Sportfisher 16 ft open skiff with a 15 HP evinrude. The engine is s#it but I can fix that. Paid $500 cash. I'm definetly going to try Candlewood next spring BTW Pieman, nice catch Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Made out real well today. Left late (8:30) got to my spot around 9:45 once I got all my gear on. 4th cast into the suds, FISH ON! Pack up and head home. 8-) 33" Quote
masssilversrt4 Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Was going to fish the blackstone tourney but it got canceled. So I headed over with another guy bassinri (Anthiony) to Roger Williams park... Didn't know there was a Breast cancer walk today so they wouldn't let us in. We ended up at blackstone river anyway.. Was mighty windy and cold. I managed 2 fish... One on a stick bait around 3#'s.. and the other on my newly bought Black Bico with ugly otter.. Anthony got 2 fish as well. Here are the pics of the 3#er Quote
Super User Tin Posted October 19, 2008 Super User Posted October 19, 2008 The Blackstone looks amazing, I need to get there. Nice fish guys... How are the Carrots treating you? Quote

bassinri Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Yes it was brisk to say the least but it's just begining with November on the way! It's supposed to be windy again today but I'm heading out to a small pond in Warwick. I got a nice 5 lb 1 oz there friday and I'm looking for her big sister today lol. If I find her I'll post a pic.
