Creature Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I was watching a episode of Fishing With Roland Martin and he was using a color selector to choose which color lure to use. Where can I find one and is it worth using? Thanks Quote
Super User Raul Posted March 4, 2008 Super User Posted March 4, 2008 You mean Color C Lector endorsed by Mr "Gimme Big Check and I 'll speak wonders about it ". I have an older unit I inherited from a friend of mine who passed away a few years ago who was a sucker for fishing gadgets. It didn 't make any difference back then and it won 't make a difference now, heck I even got Color C Lector "approved" lures from back then. Now a side imaging 3D depthfinder it 's completely different story. Quote
Zel Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I have one, I use it, I like it, it works! Helped me into many the money spots in tournaments. It doesn't tell you which lure to use, but what color is best seen by fish in a given water clarity situation. And I like the PH function on mine. I have the old type, not the new digital type. You can get the old type off ebay for pretty cheap, especially if you don't need the Temp and PH guage. Interesting read: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1164751523/54 And I also bought into, and recommend, another supposed gimmick product at the time: Terminator Spinnerbaits. Raul, I'll give you $5 for your gimmick. Quote
