thehooligan Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 @thehooligan I really like the hook keeper on that rod. The whole combo looks amazing!! Thanks, a lot of purple bits on there, lol. Considering a megabass/daiwa reel for the rod but I just like my shimanos sooo much more... Quote
Diggy Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Nice. Where did you score than zillion 100HLA from? I've been looking for one the past 2 weeks with no luck lol. May just settle for a tatula. The bay. I can ask my seller if he has more, they are NIB. It was listed at 270, I submitted an offer substantially less and they accepted. I even got free line and 2 day shipping instead of 5 day ground. 1 Quote

Super User rippin-lips Posted March 30, 2015 Super User Posted March 30, 2015 I was watching it. Nice score especially with the pricy knobs! I placed my bid 4 days ago nobody else bid. I was expecting to get sniped in the last few seconds. I've been wanting to try one for a while now plus like you said it's got a $65 set of knobs. Overall a good deal. Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted March 30, 2015 Super User Posted March 30, 2015 This one came and went without much fanfare. I found it (again) quite by accident as an old spool I had resurface while I was looking for some backing. Decided to try it as a main line, been using it (secretly) for a while. Turns out I really like it. I have been able to stock up on bulk spools for a fraction of the original cost. (which was very reasonable) It’s now my new (but old) favorite Mono. A-Jay 4 Quote

A-Jay bulk mono 2.jpg I was a "Stren Man" back in the 1960s (when I could afford it) and used it through the 1980s. I guess it's been off-the-radar for me since then though. Looks like you have enough for a couple trips down south... 2 Quote

Yea - I really like to change out the mono quite frequently and while in the Mexican waters, it's every chance I get. I should be good A-Jay 1 Quote
