RLinNH Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Got into Crank Baits 2 Seasons ago(A Former Die Hard soft plastics only guy ). To say I am hooked on Casting Cranks is an understatement. It's at the point that I am bordering on collecting them. So, let's say a guy was looking for Mega Bass and Lucky Craft Crank Baits. Where would you send him for an online retailer? Quote

HookedinNY Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 sales@megabassusa.com This is the email address for Megabass USA you can purchase direct from them. They have a very good selection of the various colors and in general the pricing seems equal to anyone else's. Shipping is very reasonable also. www.deloscustomtackleshack.com for anything Lucky Craft. I have not found anyone with better overall prices than Delo's. Quote

Super User Raul Posted January 4, 2008 Super User Posted January 4, 2008 LC, there are tons of people and companies that carry LCs. Megabass, the last place I would purchase Megabass is preciselly from Megabass USA, there are many highly recommendale e-bay stores that have better prices and a whole lot more assortment of baits than Megabass USA. Sayaka, Sushilure, Lures of Japan, Shimreels tackle, Papaiyamangos are some of the places I order my MB baits and never ever had a problem with them. Quote
Micropterus salmoides Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I'd also recommend Tackle Warehouse. I've ordered from them several times. They have a great selection of lures and shipping is quick. If you're looking for Lucky Craft crankbaits you owe it to yourself to pick up some of the Rick Clunn BDS 1.5 crankbaits. They are great for fishing shallow cover, especially wood. Copper perch is one of the favorite colors. Quote
smallieking Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 there are no bps around my area but im not sure about megabass but my dicks sporting goods sells lucky craft lures at the going rate im sure u can find them online for cheaper cost my fav for buying lures online is good ol' ebay but as far as tackle shops try dicks Quote
HookedinNY Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Hats off to Raul! This is why I like this forum so much. I just spent some time checking MegaBass prices at some of the sites Raul suggests and he is correct that the pricing overall is better than MegaBass USA. In some cases considerably better. I am not sure if the selection is any better but who cares cause if you find the one you want it will cost you less money. Wish I had known about these places about 3 hours ago!! :-[ Thanks for the heads up Raul, always nice to have new places to shop! Quote

Big +1 - - - I've shopped with all the stores Raul mentioned, and they are great to deal with! I would also add Kasei, Sanpei, FishingDirectOnline, Samurai Tackle, and Ninja Tackle to the list......always had perfect transactions with every one of them. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted January 4, 2008 Super User Posted January 4, 2008 Funny how every Japanese bait nut has these same sellers saved to their favorite sellers list on eBay. I can't imagine how much money these guys rake up in a years time. Quote
Willzx225 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Man this is why I have a love/ hate relationship with this site! I now have way to many places to buy stuff!!! In response to where to send someone... You might check out your local Divorce Lawyer as well! HAHA Just Kidding Got to love the high-end stuff but I'm sure it has taken its toll on a few relationships if it gets carried away. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 4, 2008 Super User Posted January 4, 2008 The best prices I have seen are Bass Pro "in-store" specials. Last year I picked up some Pointers for around $7. These are not advertised specials, they just "happened" to be on sale. Quote
Super User Raul Posted January 4, 2008 Super User Posted January 4, 2008 . Wish I had known about these places about 3 hours ago!! :-[ Weeeelllll, you could have asked first ya know. Should have opened a new threat, sorry I mean thread, entitled: "I 'm about to jump off the cliff on MB lures, where should I jump from " or something along those lines, always a pleasure to give a fellow BR member a pat on the back. Yes, live and learn. I guess when I PM'd you about specific MB lures I should have asked where you buy yours from. Thanks again for the tip. Quote

RLinNH Posted January 6, 2008 Author Posted January 6, 2008 My Wife wants each and every one of your names and Numbers. I just told her how much I spent on "Lures". To say that she's a little Irrate would be an Understatement. 8-) Quote
HookedinNY Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 It's all Raul's fault, you know pointing in the right direction and all that. Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I personally like Tackle Warehouse, but their Megabass lure selection/color selection are not good at this time. Less than a year ago their Megabass selection was great, I actually bought two flapslaps from them. Now even the selection of vision 110's is poor. They have a great Luckycraft selection. I have done a lot of business with them and have had good experiences. 3 months ago I made a return of a Diawa Light&Tough rod and they sent me a replacement instantly, and dealt with the rod's factory warranty themselves on their own time. They took it off my debit card when they received the rod I mailed back---not when they received the money from the warranty. That is good service. Quote
