kingfisher85 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 have you guys heard of or tried the new colour changing line from berkley? Quote
The_Natural Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Looks like a remake of Berkley Trimax Photochromic, which was a line available in the early-mid '90s that transitioned from a light gold to a fluorescent color. The Trimax was very good line; I never understood why Berkley discontinued it. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted July 12, 2009 Super User Posted July 12, 2009 For the last two years, I've used the Trilene Transition fluorocarbon on two rods of mine and I like it. Let's me see the line better, yet disappears under the surface. I like the gold color; tried the red - yuk! Can't see it at all with these old eyes. Went back to the gold. Quote
kingfisher85 Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 ive got some trilene xl 14# but i havnt put it on yet. ive got garbage 8lb on it until im comfortable with my casting. anyways maybe instead of the xl ill try out that transoptic.. Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Haven't tried it so I could be wrong but to me it looks like another gimmicky line from the company that brought you "Vanish" : Quote
stryk9 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 i see it all the time at cabelas, but never tried it. next time im there ill grab a pack since its only 8 bucks and give a review. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted July 13, 2009 Super User Posted July 13, 2009 Seems to be a rebranding of their Maxx Photochromic. Every supplier has discontinued the Maxx over the last couple of months. Quote
kingfisher85 Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 stryk9 that sounds like a great idea. ill be waiting. Quote
