Right now you cannot beat 2 of shimano's products. The citica 200E is awesome and they can be had for $99.00 at academy. also you stated your looking to spend 100-150 you want the best real out go with the curado 200E, and shimanos customer service is bar none the best. alot goes into chossing a reel, price, ratio(speed), weight, and other things. O ya and ill put my citica's and curados up against and reels out there.

Just my opinion after fishing with them for over 25 years, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better quality & bargain, than an Abu Garcia 5500C.

With all of the specifications you stated, you need to get a Shimano Citica 200e. These reels are ridiculous. Smooth as anything. You can't beat the price, and you'll never use another reel again. It's really an amazing reel. Workhorse too. Everyone is going to say different things, but that's just cuz they haven't used a Citica.

Cabelas prodigy baitcaster made by daiwa. On sale for 75.00 right now.

I agree.  This is a very good reel for the price.  Can't go wrong with Daiwa quality for this price.

Abu Garcia: C3 & C4 or Revo S

Daiwa: Tierra Series, Megaforce Plus, or Trillionaire

Pflueger: Trion & Purist

Quantum: Code or Accurist

Shimano: Cardiff or Citica

Throw in BPS & Cabela's your good to go ;)
