Super User islandbass Posted April 13, 2009 Super User Posted April 13, 2009 That is a great primer piece! Thanks, Glenn for sharing and Eddie Taylor for the great write up. 8-) Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 13, 2009 Super User Posted April 13, 2009 But shouldn't this be in the rod and reel forum? Glenn, I think you should delete your own post for posting in the wrong forum. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted April 13, 2009 Super User Posted April 13, 2009 Great article! I do have a question. I've never witnessed a bass that was permanently damaged from using an extra-fast tip. Maybe the extra-fast tips I use flex more than the examples he is speaking of here? Just curious. Quote
Super User .RM. Posted April 13, 2009 Super User Posted April 13, 2009 Great article! I do have a question. I've never witnessed a bass that was permanently damaged from using an extra-fast tip. Maybe the extra-fast tips I use flex more than the examples he is speaking of here? Just curious. Me to.. I use Extra fast tip actions all the time. I have to argue that point made in the article, because NO consideration is being made about proper setup of drags or the use of the thumb to feather adjust tensions. The rod and reel are the system. The article state its the rod mostly I disagree... 15 yr rod builder.... Quote
