Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Mega, you are preaching the "Low Budget" creed and I absolutely agree with you on principle,...but there are a few rods out there that DO have the capability of raising your game. This particular steez is one of them. This piece of refined angel's hair is something to go use before commenting on it. I have always preached "It's not the car, it's the driver", so I know exactly where you are coming from but I have had the pleasure of actually using this rod (redlineroberts) and of all the high end gear in his boat (40+ rods in the mega buck range, lol) THIS rod did not leave my hands for 3 days straight, lol. When I went back there this yr,...which rod do you think I claimed IMMEDIATELY! Seriously, this one's a winner and for $310,....THE Low Budget Hooker is even tempted ;D Quote
Megastink Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Alright Hooker, I hear you loud and clear. I certainly can't afford it. But if someone else can, go for it. I wouldn't mind owning one. I just can't see myself forking over $300 bucks for one rod, let alone $400. But ok, I'll have to try it one day.... if I ever win the lottery. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Hey Megastrike, I agree with you, but after the beating you took...I'll just stop here. Dan Quote
Megastink Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Ya know, all of this got me thinking... If you had to choose between owning whatever high end bass boat you wanted and mediocre equipment at best, or being a non-boater with highest quality equipment, which would you all choose? Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted July 15, 2008 Super User Posted July 15, 2008 Different strokes for different folks. I like hi end gear, it's just my thing. I'd take the Z22 and the hi end gear megastrike. Quote
Chad. Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Im just saying, IF you had to choose? LOL this ain't tackle tour any real fisherman would want the boat Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted July 15, 2008 Super User Posted July 15, 2008 Im just saying, IF you had to choose? If I had to choose I'd take the boat. Regardless, fish don't care what I spend on my gear. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 15, 2008 Super User Posted July 15, 2008 I'd take the gear. Fish don't care what I float on. We're picking up bass, not chicks. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted July 15, 2008 Super User Posted July 15, 2008 I'd take the gear. Fish don't care what I float on. We're picking up bass, not chicks. True - but a boat gives you access that not having one does not. Quote

True - but a boat gives you access that not having one does not. My error. I thought it was a junk boat and high end gear. Yep, gotta have the boat. Quote

Speed Worm Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 This is America. If you love it, buy it and enjoy it! It's a beautiful and quality rod. Quote
