nralover Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 What is the difference between a swimbait rod and your ordinary baitcasting rod? Also- what would you call a "typical" all purpose baitcasting rod? I am guessing that a 7' MH graphite rod is typical. Is that correct? Quote
Super User Raul Posted May 29, 2008 Super User Posted May 29, 2008 What is the difference between a swimbait rod and your ordinary baitcasting rod? Without entering into too many details the difference is in the lure weight the rod can hadle, your "typical or ordinary" bc rod can handle up to 1 1/2 ounces in case of a heavy power, swimbait rods start at 1 ounces and up.
