has anyone else experienced a loud "zzzzzzzzz" noise on their citicas? It is too loud to be normal and it doesn't always do it. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing the problem?

Could be a loop in the line stack on the spool, could be a spool support bearing that is getting dry, could just be the spool. Hard to say without seeing and hearing it happen...

I have heard it and it'd not a line issue. It seems to be more of a screach/dry bearing noise. I have what you need Dan..... :)

Heya Dan, It happens on my citica too...what's weird for me is that once I started hearing the noise my casting range increased .... so I don't know, lol

I posted that on another thread. Citicas are known screamers. I had no idea why and I thought the new ones would be different. But my buddy got one and its a screamers too. We were both very surprised. It doesn't seem to effect the performance.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to affect the performance of the reel, I was just concerned that something might be grinding or something...

Ok, Rob, let's give your stuff a shot.
