Redtail Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Has this happened to anyone? I didn't think a rod could make that much difference in feel, sensitivity and performance. Wrongamungo! Since I bought a Shimano Cumara - I hate to pick up my old rods - now I have to buy more of them - I've been spoiled. Have I become a rod snob, lol. Quote

Tokyo Tony Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I know exactly how you feel, I'm in the same situation, thanks to this freakin' forum Seriously though, it's kind of a problem. I really can't afford to buy a bunch more good setups right now, so I'm limited to the few nice ones I have. I actually gave my brother all of my old stuff that's, well, inferior equipment. He isn't complaining about my affliction. Yes, I have become a snob in that regard, but not a super-high end snob (i.e. Steez, GLX, Stella, etc.)...I'm saving that for the future 8-) Quote
joshmb1999 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 This forum has given me the same affliction!!! I used to be pretty happy with my zebco combo but now if it ain't over $100 i don't fish with it! ;D Once you see and feel the difference in quality equipment you can never go back!! if my wife knew any of you guys she would ring your necks!!! ;D Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted April 22, 2008 Super User Posted April 22, 2008 These forums are dangers, but in a good way. I can think of a million other ways to spend money that are much worse. :-X Quote
