x3 for sure. One question though. Is there a typo on the page? I thought Symetres were $79 and Shimano, like Loomis usually likes to keep retail prices the same. I could be wrong.

I edited my post. The reel retails for $79.99 at BPS:

If you can find one, I would say the previous Stradic model. It retails for around $100 now that the new ones came out but it is a very nice reel.

If you can't find one of them, then I concur with the Pflueger Supreme suggestions.

My 3 choices would be

Pflueger Medalist

Pflueger Supreme

Pflueger Supreme XT

They are all great reels. I have the least experience with the XT since I just got them, but they feel better than any other reel so far.

Don't forget to check out the Daiwa Exceler for $69.   Great casting & line management.
