ThomasL Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Looking at the zillion in 6.3:1 gear ratio that i have found on ebay for 214.95 plus 8.95 shipping and wondered if it would be much difference than the two i have now(these will not be replaced i'm just adding one)my current ones are teamdaiwa x supertuned 103 and 100 reels.they are still running 209.95 shipping free so for 15.00 more i could try the zillion. : Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 25, 2008 Super User Posted February 25, 2008 The Zillion won 't cast as well and as easy the lures that the TDX ST can cast, the Zillion has wet drag system, the others have dry drag system which can be very touchy when it comes to contamination by lubricants. The Zillion has a little bit more torque and a longer handle. Quote
michbass Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 also if you are near a bass pro during the reel trade in program you can get a zillion for $200 new. Cant beat that. I have 3 zillions and one JPN zillion cranker and I love them all. Never had an issue with them and love the looks of them. They are a tad heavy but function great for med and hvy lures. Quote
gabes Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 I have a Zillion with 7:1 gear ratio. Really like it but it is a tad heavy. My next reel will be the Revo 7:1. $159 with a reel trade in at Bass Pro. Quote
