want qualitu 2 pc rods. Any ideas?

When I travel without a boat , freshwater fishing except salmon. Walley and bassputting long 1 piece rods in a car is a pain. Would like one top of the line 2 piece spinning rod and one trigger rod. They would be used for all types of fishing except salmon and muskie. Bass and walleye mainly. Six and a half or seven foot.  Ten to twenty lb test and about 3/8 to 5/8 lures. Some times a little lighter or heavier. Would love a Loomis,Croix or other high end rod. Can anyone steer me in the right direction. Perhaps there are companies out there that I am not aware of. Can not possibly justify 5 or 6 hundred dollars. 2 to 3 hundred or so will have to do.

For casting, there's a 2pc version of the mbr783.  I have the one piece glx version and it's my favorite.

I agree with the above post.  That G Loomis rod is about as good as it gets.  I had a similar situation, where I liked to have 2-piece rods I could travel with when I didn't have my boat to transport my 1-piece rods.  I ended up getting a whole line-up of Cableas XML 2-piece rods and have these as my "travel" rods.  I know they are not as high end as some other rods, but they perform quite well (and with Cabelas Customer Service and warranty on these rods, I don't worry about them getting slammed into a car door, or have something roll over on them in the car, etc.)

Domestic or import ?

Domestic: the MBR 783.

Import: oh boy ! there 's a lot from where to choose right there, Daiko, Major Craft, Olympic manufacture excellent two piece rods and many of them not only have great blanks but also have a bling you wn 't find in a DM rod and won 't cost you an arm and a leg.
