I support nobody, none of them give me half a penny for saying good things and shutting my mouth when I detect a problem, problem that not only affects me but will also affect somebody else.

If you think I don 't bad mouth Shimano, Gloomis, Daiwa, etc. that 's because you haven 't known me long enough to hear me bad mouthing them, got plenty stories about them too.

That's my point, if you have stories from all of them.....how come you would still buy from them but not Kistler. Just askin' :)

Hey Amigo...you...da skinny one...

Be caful...my cous' don't ned no hep, but i alwas ther...just in case.

Yos'no, me an Raul go back awas...

Relax knuckle Dragger,.......(We've never been close) ::)

Read you know who 's reply.   :)

I like to try stuff 5BL, the perpetual search for better performing tackle.

I still don 't understand why Shimano placed a chessy, cheap, crappy and lousy plastic cap on the tension knob of the old Curado B, for crying out loud, it was a 120 dollars reel !, Or why the cork in my Kistler rods is of much better quality than the one found in any of my GLoomis rods, ok the GL2 but ........ the GLX ? sob, 180 dollars rod with better cork than a 350 dollars rod ..... gimme a danged break !

You can build your own Kistler for much cheaper than you can buy one from the factory. Just order a rainshadow blank, a baston reel seat, and some batson guides and you are in buisness. Kistler is a rod assembler; not a rod maker. They don't roll any blanks. Go to another site where all the rod builders hang out (like george roth, mark g, etc.) and see what their opinions are about kistler. George Roth is probably the most respected custom rod builder around (he has custom built rods for Cal on Tackle Tour). Tackle Tours rod junkies with their addicition to JDM rods that are ornate and decorated will admit that the 15yr old GLX graphite is still second to none. It's fact. I don't have anything against Kistler but their profit margin. With their component choice; they are taking people to the cleaners on the HE2. For $300+...at least offer an ECS reel seat and Ti framed SiC's (the Rainshadow blanks aren't very costly either). The Magnesium series is a decent rod for the price and I can't say anything negative about it.

Why don't you start making them and selling them for cheaper price than kistler, I will buy all you can make if you can make them as good as a kistler ( which I realy doubt you can) and incase you can't read they have changed over to fuji seats now, as someone said earlier in this topic.

You think of me like if I were right across the fence from Kistler.

Let 's see, shipping from Mexico to the US = 30 dollars, shipping from the US to Mexico = 30 dollars

Last week I thought you confirmed that you live in Tennessee thus the " hot in Tenn" thread??

Man I'm confused! LOL

Yes, Kistler switched to the Fuji seat after numerous issues with the batson seat. I knew about it before they announced it, but I was still seeing the Batson seats at Cabelas. I'm not a rod builder...if I had the equipment and maybe the talent (never tried); I'd build a quiver of split grip glx's with black foam grips. I used to get into these debates, but I'm more relaxed now (come full circle I guess recently). It's all about what you believe in and spend your hard earned money on. Confidence in your equipment equals fish in your livewell, whether it is Croix, Loomis, or Kistler. I think you get more with a Croix or Loomis, but that's my opinion, and they are like a-holes...everyone has one. Use what you like. I break on average 3-4 Loomis rods each season whether it be my partner stepping on one, shutting it in the car door, etc. (actually never broken one on the hookset)...the warranty is imparative to me when I have a family. I get a new rod before I even ship out my broken one. That is ridiculous customer service. I'll surf the message boards while I have a few beers and sometimes I speak my mind when maybe I should just keep my thoughts to myself. People will find out by trial and error like they have for centuries.
