Super User Munkin Posted February 23, 2007 Super User Posted February 23, 2007 Do you have a link? I have never heard of it. Allen Quote
Needemp Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Are you talking about Fireline Crystal? If so, its not clear at all! Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted February 23, 2007 Super User Posted February 23, 2007 He's probably talking about Berkley Fireline Crystal. BPS and Cabelas carry it. Quote
HomersTomaco Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 yea but crystal fireline isnt clear and its not braid Quote
Super User T-rig Posted February 23, 2007 Super User Posted February 23, 2007 Yes,it's not clear but white and it's not braid but fused and i hate it! Quote
BLUESKY Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Yes, Berkley Fireline Crystal was what I was refering to, I was thinking about using it with a florocarbon leader in clear water for spooky smallies. I have noticed that with regular Fireline that after using it for awhile the color starts to dissapate and the base line is sort of a white looking, I'm wondering if the crystal is just undyed fireline. T-rig what is it that you hate about it? Quote
Needemp Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 It is a bright white. It is good if you need to watch your line, but if you are planning to use it on spooked fish, it won't serve that purpose. Your best bet would be florocarbon! Quote
JigNBig Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 call me crazy but heres what i did: medium action rod w/ a 6.1.1 casting reel 8 lb fireline crystal dean rojas bronzeeye frog in open water a great set up until u start gettin big fish casts great i havent seen any problems w/ color yet because i dont only fish frogs w/ it. good to use for light weighted baits or chatter baits Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 26, 2007 Super User Posted February 26, 2007 In my opinion, nothing beats power pro. Quote
