I’m looking to try the stupid tube rigging method for river smallmouth in rocks

i throw 2.75” tubes mostly but cant find a suitable  ewg jig head that fits that size tube with a 60 degree line tie

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks

Do you have a buddy who pours tubeheads? You can bend a 30 degree wacky rig hook to 60 degrees to make some.FB_IMG_1719014484090.jpg.b5b1eba3ef42ac09842d268bf6dda0e7.jpg

I think you need a jig built on a 1/0 hook to stupid rig a 2.75 tube. I've been looking for jighead for 2.5 inch tube and haven't found anything yet.

The first link I posted works well for small tubes.  I fish small tubes often with them, using this rigging:

You have to bend a 30 degree wacky rig jig hook to 60 degree to fit into the mold.  That's how I made the stupid heads for this 2.5" tube.

I stupid rig the little gitzits with the vmc weighted wacky hooks. The ones with the weed guard help to keep the really soft plastic in place.
