It's either a Tru Turn or Eagle claw .45. I doubt either are available anymore.,

My vote is for the EagleClaw hook. TruTurn hooks were made of thinner diameter wire.

I ordered last two 50 packs from Cabela's / BPS, found another 50 pack on e-bay, and ordered 200 just now from Walmart (thanks @flatcreek!!)

Eagle Claw 45 Automatic or I like to call it line twisting %&*#%*%!

I dont know why but my dad bought probably 100 of these and I keep coming across them randomly in boxes. 

 

Why do you prefer these hooks? I always avoided them thinking the "bend" wouldnt give me great penetration being off line of the tie point like that.

If you're using these to rig soft plastics, 

don't they cause line twist ? 

Seems a rigged bait would be forced to spin and spin and spin some more.

@Functional & @A-Jay, I have not noticed line-twist when using these hooks...but I will pay attention next time out and circle back. I do have to play with rigging to keep the worm straight (come in at an angle at the top...and an angle for the hook side)

 

Better penetration vs. a Gama EWG? I don't know...

 

I like that they are a little beefier, and they rig up well with a 7" power worm. I don't run them on anything else.

I’ve not used these type hooks in a long time but when I did I tied a barrel swivel with leader( maybe around mid - eighties I guess)

Mustad has been making the SUPER DEATH ABERDEEN HOOK for walleye anglers for a long time.

It's similar in design to what you've shown here and is made to SPIN a nightcrawler trolled at a slow speed.

I have been a big fan of the standard Gamakatsu EWG but for a stouter hook I have recently been liking this.

My dad bought a lifetime supply of these once. I never liked them because when you cut your retrieve short to get off another cast, they twist the line.
