5by3 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Anyone use their spinnerbait blades? I was wondering if I should buy the economy, premium, or regal option? I’m leaning towards the premium. I want decent quality, but I’m not going to be selling any baits. Quote
Super User king fisher Posted January 22, 2024 Super User Posted January 22, 2024 I have had good luck with their premium blades, but I bought some of the cheaper painted blades, and the paint chipped off with very little use. The gold and silver premium are good blades for the money. I usually spend the extra money and buy Hildebrandt, or Stanely in silver and gold, along with Picasso painted blades, but have caught many big bass on the Lure Parts Online blades. 2 Quote
keagbassr Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Couldn't remember which ones i use , had to look it up, the regal blades are the ones. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted January 23, 2024 Super User Posted January 23, 2024 The cheap gold blades will tarnish pretty fast but I use those around bluegill beds . Quote
Super User Munkin Posted January 23, 2024 Super User Posted January 23, 2024 Generally stay away from the economy, either the premium or regal. Not much difference in nickel between the two but regal is best for gold and copper. Allen 2 Quote
5by3 Posted January 23, 2024 Author Posted January 23, 2024 Thanks! I ended up going with the premium blades. Hoping they’ll work okay for my needs! If not, now I know. 1 Quote
dopey Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 I buy most of my blades from Hagen's unless I find classic blades on the bay. You can buy less than minimum and it costs you a dollar more on each quantity of blade - if you do it this way call your order in! 1 Quote

I really like the people at Hagensfish but their premium blades are not as good as Worth or Lakeland. Several years ago I got samples from each company and Lakeland was the best. Worth is good except they don't have premium Black nickel, copper, and some other colored blades. Worth is also almost 3x the price for gold plated blades. Lakeland owns a plating company so they can beat everyone elses prices. Allen 1 Quote
Bruce424 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Premium or regal blade are better and budget friendly. They do rust though if let forgotten about on floor of boat Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted February 23, 2024 Super User Posted February 23, 2024 I’ve always been a fan of changing the front spinner bait blade for larger , smaller , gold or silver . I’ve used Lure Parts online as well as Hildebrandt (my current favorite). * Lakeland and Hagenfish looked promising - but they want a 100 piece minimum (not good for someone who just makes / alters spinnerbaits for their own use) , so I’ll be staying with Lure Parts on line . Captain Phil Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 The best spinner bait blades on the market are Hildebrandt. There is nothing better. Do it..... Quote
