Big Swimbait Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 Does anybody have a source for micro "jitterbug" lips/bibs? Quote
Marvel Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Check out the options at Barlow’s Tackle -(http://barlowstackle.com); Jann’s Netcraft -(http://jannsnetcraft.com); or Lure Parts Online -(http://lurepartsonline.com). All three have a pretty wide variety, stock, fast, secure shipping & reasonable pricing. 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted January 25, 2024 Super User Posted January 25, 2024 The only thing I have seen like this is I bought a Jitterbug lure that looked like a mouse. Lure was smaller and had a soft plastic tail. If you are looking for stuff like this I recommend Ichiban Tackle or Japanlire.com. These are the two places I know of that have things people in the US besides AJay have never heard of? Final comment is learn the metric system before your order anything. Allen Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 25, 2024 Super User Posted January 25, 2024 There are some similar in the fly tying world so I would search those sites as well. I am not sure if i have seen a lip just like a jitterbug but I have seen single ones. Next time I am searching for tying supplies I will see what I can find and post it up. 1 Quote
Fallser Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 Barlow's has the lips online not in their catalog. They have a small size, but looking at the lip on the "micro" Jitterbug I have. The body is 1 1/2 inches long. I can toss it with my 8 wgt fly rod if I want to. The small size lip may be too large for a "micro" jitterbug. When I started tying flies, I was always trying to make flies that imitated my favorite top water lures. The jitterbug still is one my favorites when I use spinning. I came up with these and they did work. 1 Quote
