DaubsNU1 Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 In the early 1990's while living in Missouri, we fished Hazel Creek Lake -- 550 acre lake built in the 1980's, holds good LMB's, and is stocked with Musky. Electric motors only. Flooded timber. Got to talking with another fisherman who was throwing cranks, in the flooded timber. At the time I thought he was certifiably crazy! Showed me his secret weapon...a 15' telescoping lure retriever. Brilliant! I had messed around with a few different lure retrievers, never having much success. Picked up the stumpmaster and I can honestly say it has saved me many a lure. stump master-*** 7 Quote
papajoe222 Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 I"m on my second telescoping retriever. I sold my first one (12ft.) to a guy that gave me more than I paid for it. This one is 18ft., I think, and this season alone it's saved me more than its purchase price. Liking the Mann's crank. 2 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted October 28, 2023 Super User Posted October 28, 2023 Telescopic light bulb changer for getting coanglers lures out of trees. Bill Dance one for anything underwater. Allen 1 Quote
BayouSlide Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 I have three lure retrievers onboard, including a telescoping one. But what do I usually turn to? A 5 or 6 oz. bank sinker with a snap swivel zip-tied to the sinker's line tie. 😎 1 Quote
Alex from GA Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 I fish deep, over 20', lakes and carry a Basspro EZ lure retriever. Jigging spoons are mostly what I get stuck in brush piles. I have probably a 70% success rate. 1 Quote
