GRiver Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Where does everyone, if anyone, buy small amounts of spinner bait supplies? I did some research and with most parts, it’s buying larger quantities. I just want to change some blades or add some beads maybe even build a few from scratch. I don’t need 50 of each, just about 10 beads would do me. Who knows maybe I’ll get into it more and, buy larger amounts but, for now just a few will do me. Any suggestions? Thanks Quote

detroit1 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Add Barlows and Lurepartsonline to your search list. They sell in 5 packs painted (around $10) or unpainted for less than $6. The price has just about doubled since covid. I have bought from all three shops and satisfied with all. I loves me some spinnerbaits, haven't bought an assembled one in decades. 4 1 Quote

They won’t last because they will tarnish/rust, but they do catch fish still. If you want say hildebrant you are going to pay for it. Up to you to decide what you want to do. More than any other lure, I feel like spinnerbait blades add up quickly if you want several diff sizes and styles. And I mean thats kind of the point of customizing. To be have all the different combinations of blades and make unique lures. 2 1 Quote
GRiver Posted September 21, 2023 Author Posted September 21, 2023 Ok I’ve got Jann’s net craft Lure parts online Barlow’s got-’‘em bookmarked. I snooped around the websites all of you gave me, I never realized all this stuff was available. I’m almost afraid to go “down that rabbit hole”. I mean WOW! I’ve got a couple worm molds that I melt my used soft plastics down and hand pour some baits. “Do I take The red pill, or the blue pill” Quote

Thanks What specifically are you looking for? Someone on here probably has the stuff just sitting around. If you need some 1/8 hollow beads I have about 3lbs of them so I can spare a few. Allen Quote
GRiver Posted September 28, 2023 Author Posted September 28, 2023 @Munkin Thank you for offer but got some coming. I also I saw some beads, fluorescent red and green at Walmart. Don’t know if all of them carry them, for making leaders. Quote

Createx Paint, beads, balsa and bass wood. I buy there craft fur strips. They arent really long enough for traditional use but i cut the material into zonker strips for palmering. Makes a very unique jig. Quote
