After the initial hot spring spinnerbait bite I tone it down . Get rid of the brightness and downsize the blades.

Right now my favorite spinnerbaits are the ones I don't have to make! There are 183 spinnerbait heads sitting on my bench that need painted. Just a little burnt out right now so I don't feel like painting them even though I need to.

I’ve been using the Googan Squad Zingers quite a bit lately - they’ve been really good to me, especially in Bluegill.

Other favorite is Strike King Potbelly - they seem to handle the heavy brush around here better than anything else I’ve used over the years.

@Tackleholic I had a trickster. Used it a little with no success until I bent it beyond repair after I hit something on the cast. I never bought another one, but I liked the way it swam.

Hopefully you kept the rear blade as that's what makes them special.

These are not too exotic, but they have been serving me well recently:SBs.thumb.jpg.283a4ba24f5a68e9b06d734445c547c6.jpg

Clockwise from top Left:

-Booyah Covert Double Colorado (White/Chartreuse)

-Pepper Custom Bleeding Double Willow ("Bluegill")

-Siebert Compact Cosmic Double Willow ("Pumpkinseed")

-War Eagle Copper Indiana/Colorado ("Copper/Chartreuse")

-Revenge Double Willow ("bluegill")

i like the pepper customs too. that bluegill one in lakes without shad it gets bites.
