Super User Munkin Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 What colors would you like to see more companies make in soft plastics? For me it would be solid black creature baits and Yamamotos Natural Shad for worms. These two colors just flat out work for me. Allen 2 Quote
Super User Darth-Baiter Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 I like that OG motor oil color. It had a green hue and it was a dirty oil color. 7 Quote
Super User LrgmouthShad Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 I agree with solid black and I would like to see more scuppernong too Quote

GetFishorDieTryin Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 The older more opaque Bluegill and Baitfish colors that Reins used to make. They still have them, but the opacity has gone way down and it looks completely different. Green Pumpkin/Pumkin laminate Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 Black-n-Blue ? Black with a blue tail, claws, or tip 5 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 More color options for spinnerbait skirts. Seems like companies only like putting whites, silvers and chartreuse for spinnerbait skirts, but I do so well on ones patterned after pumpkinseeds, perch, golden shiners etc. 4 Quote

A friend just gave me a couple old packs of them, and I've caught a few with them already. Zoom makes a color called Natural Blue, which is a two-tone mix of blue and flesh-like color. The problem is the ones I see always have too much blue in them. The ones that are mostly flesh with just a hint of blue produced a lot of fish for me, the blues ones, not so much. Quote
Super User Bird Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 Cotton candy without chartreuse. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 There are already too many to choose from Zman and Keitech. It drives me nuts trying to figure out what to order. Quote

Some companies are creating crazy colors and names IMO just to catch fishermen. Allen Quote
Pat Brown Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Motor Oil variations, Pumpkin (not green pumpkin) variations, more green or brown + purple, Black + stuff besides blue glitter, more glitter and flake variations in swim baits/I feel they mimic baitfish better when they have lots of glitter, more laminates. I really like having a 'belly' and a 'top' defined on my plastics because most critters got lighter colored bellies no matter what they are. 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 Bubble gum, lime. I catch a lot of fish on Trick Worms in these colors, more than I do in more traditional colors. But they don't exist in Zoom's smaller 4" Finesse Worm. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 I'm satisfied with the available colors. I have got to the point that no matter what color, I like to take a chartreuse Spike-It marker and apply it to the entire length of the back of a worm . That gives it a two tone appearance . Seems to work a little better that way but it might just be me thinking that . Quote

I think people mistake it for dirty water only color and it will definitely catch fish when it's murky but I actually tend to do the best on black and blue in clearer bodies of water. My theory is that they see a lot of green and red hues (and can actually differentiate those colors from grey's and browns), and black and blue simply provide stark contrast to the bottom in most bodies of water and a silhouette when fish are looking up which yield a target the fish feel safe about and can see well. It's my favorite jig color by far. 1 Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 The Perfection Blue Fleck color you can get in the Pit Boss. I do so well with this color. Strangely, TW doesn't carry this color anymore. 4 Quote
