Catching Golden Shiners NH

Was wondering if anyone has any tips for catching golden shiners consistently for bait up here in NH. I have one spot that I can get them pretty much throughout May then after that they seem to disappear just wondering if anyone had any tips or general location tips as to finding them.

I've caught them in shallow ponds near lilypads using a dry fly behind a casting bubble.
