I'd go with a 4 power for jigs.

DC 704SF is excellent for the above listed baits. The Kaden 713SF makes a great shaky head, tube, finesse jig rod as well!

Unsure…which doesn’t help…have a fishing trip coming up end of may…and I’m limited on the amount of rods I can bring…going to try for 3…so versatility is important as I’ll only be bring one spinning rod

Spinning reels are limited by the spool diameter what line diameter they can perform with. Some spinning reel users use braid with leader to solve line memory issue with spinning reels.

The rod needs to compatible to the lure weight and hook sizes including hook wire diameter.

Dobyns 704 spinning rods are MH rod designed for lures 3/16 oz minimum to 3/8 oz maximum regarding jigs plus adding soft plastics etc.

If the plan is using lure weights 1/8 to 1/4 oz plus soft plastics etc, the 703 maybe a better choice.

That is why I ask the questions.
