Super User Dwight Hottle Posted October 10, 2021 Super User Posted October 10, 2021 Coach Jimbo Fisher out coached Saban for the win. I was impressed with the defensive pressure the Aggies put on the tide. I think Georgia has a better chance than Alabama. 2 1 Quote

Although he did pull a fast one over on the Tallahassee police dept! 3 Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 19, 2021 Super User Posted October 19, 2021 Not so fast, my friend, as Lee Corso would say. Bamasux looks good against weaker opponents but when they play a quality team they have problems. Bamasux just nudged out Florida for a win and then blew it against the Aggies. The Ole Miss game will be a good one and this weekend against Tennessee should be a fun one, with Bamasux a 24 point favorite. And then there is the powerful LSU Fighting Tigers that woke up this past weekend to crush the Gators after being an 11 point underdog at home. So I look for Bamasux to lose one or two more games and if they do prevail and make it to the SEC Championship game against Georgia I would put my money on the Dawgs. Geaux Tigers! Quote

I don't follow LSU closely so I have no idea what the problem was. He has been recruiting very well. That's the most important thing for a head coach in my opinion. The rest can be addressed by changing assistant coaches. I did not like him when he was at UT but he seemed to be a good fit for LSU. Quote

Second, he has had some interesting off-field adventures that had the LSU administration very worried and concerned had they come out into the open. Rumors have it that after his divorce it seems he took up with some young coeds and had a good time. A really good time. And these days you don't do that. So we had him as our coach; he was a great coach and ambassador for LSU; got us another National Championship; and always spoke highly of LSU and his players. But you have to be a saint these days when you are a coach and if you aren't, administrations will find things to use to ask you to leave, quietly, which is what Coach Eau is doing. Of course, getting $17,000,000 pay out doesn't hurt, either. I wonder if his ex-wife gets any of this money???? Here's too a wonderful retirement for Coach Eau and some great UT infections like Bill Clinton! 2 1 Quote
