Some days are stones, some days you're better off not leaving home!

Decided to try a tidal marsh at daylight, got there a little before first light.

Figured I'm kinda good at night fishing, first cast backlash. It ain't daylight & it ain't totally dark, the only flashlight was my phone. So I'm picking a backlash that I can only feel. Changed rods to one with a little heavier weight, second cast backlash. Got that one out & changed locations down a trail about shoulder wide though brush & roseau cane.

Made cast & was watching my line & decided to take a step to my left. Didn't see the limb under the mud, rubber soled boot slipped. Left leg sank knee deep, busted my rear, left elbow shoulder deep.

I'm thinking that's gonna hurt in the morning. Not! It hurts now, tweaked knee, pulled something in my back, shoulder hurting!

All that for 1 little tighteye!

Couldn't see the camera because of glare so just snapped anyway.

Now it's to big to upload ?

Those marshes can be tricky in full sun. I’m sure pre-dawn they’re even trickier. I’ve never fished in a marsh, but I did some ecological studies in a marsh in college where pretty much everyone got stuck or fell at some point.

Hope you’re not too sore later.

Catt, I've had days like this too. Sometimes, I'm all thumbs. It usually doesn't take me long to realize it's just not my day.

I thought you were going to say today was an awesome success . The further down I read , the realization set in that this may be the perfect country and western song. Just kidding, hope your leg and back are alright.

You never even called me by my name!

Not as stiff as I thought I would be, just walking a little sideways.

Heck - any decent moonshine will do that. ;)

Hope you heal up soon so you can get back out and conquer that patch.

As long as you can pass the breathalyzer test you should be okay. Hope you heal soon and go get them again.

If you can pass the arbitrary test, you're not walking sideways unless you're 40 lbs.

Thank y'all ?

The back is doing better considering 3 ruptured disc, the knee is still very sore but no swelling.
