So, as a follow up to the fall top water thread, what do you use as a follow up to a missed blow up?
My favorite, regardless of the season, has always been a tube with an internal weight, usually a jig, just heavy enough to give it that spiral fall.
Most guys I’ve fished with like a fluke as it too will somewhat spiral if you allow it to fall rather than working it with jerks.

I pick up whatever I have rigged up on deck. It will usually be a Texas rigged creature bait, worm, or a weightless Senko.

Normally senko or fluke weightless but a light Ned rig will do in a pinch.

I usually follow up with whatever they hit the first time. I’ve had a little success with that, almost zero success with a different follow up bait

Shakey head or a creature bait t rigged will typically get the job done for me!

Wacky rig stick worm or a Ned.

100% of the time it’s a T-rigged weightless senko. If that doesn’t work I will wacky rig it and try again.

The most success ive had with a follow up is a MaxScent Hit Worm Neko rigged. Fish missed the buzz bait and I threw the hit worm right where the fish missed it and plucked it out of the water. I was happy with that.
